I’m Rhys!

I’m a Liverpool based Graphic Designer, who focuses on motion design within analogue and digital processes!

My design process consists of creating something digital first, whether that be for a music video or a more campaign orientated brief, which is then exported into printable frames.

Once the frames are put in front of me, I am given the opportunity to animate further physically, adding layers of texture and information that I can’t achieve in a digital medium.
In a time that is so shrouded in generative AI, especially within the design sector, I feel my work offers a more personal and handcrafted alternative to AI.

One of the most integral parts to my work is music. Whether it is in the work itself or in my ears during production, my work thrives in a musical environment.

Another important part of my process, before anything touches the screen or the page is research. It’s important for me as a designer to look for new ways to deliver a brief, whilst still maintaining a clear communication between the subject matter and my work.
